DESCRIPTION:Theatre in prison: Ivana Trettel and Alessandro Arisio of the “Opera Liquida” company (Milan Opera Prison) in conversation with Julia Varley and Patrizia Pertuso. \nWebinar in Italian (with simultaneous translation into English) September 17\, 2026\, 6:00 PM (Italian local time) \nFree participation; registration required at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/uCNYG_tgS_mxkpyPDOQiUg \nOpera Liquida APS\, founded and directed by Ivana Trettel\, is a theatre company that uses its artistic work to foster social inclusion\, promote legality\, support incarcerated parents\, and prevent at-risk behavior among young people.  \nIt uses the stage as a space for reflection and inquiry—both inside and outside prison—regarding current social issues\, staging original productions that often draw upon texts written by the incarcerated actors themselves.  \nThe theatrical experience unites inmates and the general public in a shared space for meeting and reflection\, helping to drive change and overcome prejudices and stereotypes.  \nSince December 2008\, Opera Liquida has been working with medium-security inmates and former inmates at the Milano Opera Correctional Facility.
