From 14 to 16 April 2023 at the Free University of Alcatraz one day for Franca Rame. meetings, debates, music and performance dedicated to the memory of Franca Rame, ten years after her death.
After almost three years of suspension of its face-to-face educational activities, the free University of Alcatraz, located between Gubbio and Perugia, reopens with a new formula focused on groups and events.
PROGRAMME
• Friday 14 April from 5pm, arrival and accommodation

9.30 pm, concert as a tribute to Franca Rame with Selene Capitanucci andSimone ‘Poca’ Matteucci
• Saturday 15 April from 8 to 10, breakfast
10.30, meeting with Jacopo Fo: The origins of Franca and the theatre legacy of the Rame family
11.30, meeting with Eugenio Barba: The involuntary injustice suffered by Franca in the evaluation of historians
1 pm, lunch
3.30 pm, work demonstration by Julia Varley
5.30 pm, roundtable: Analysis and hypothesis of action to give Franca back the role she deserves

As the first activity of this new season, it presents a two-day event entirely dedicated to the personality of Franca Rame, organised by Fondazione Fo Ramein collaboration with Fondazione Barba Varley ETS.
