Valentina Venturini
Valentina Venturini teaches Entertainment Disciplines at Roma Tre University. She is coordinator of the “Theatre in Prison Project” co-director of the editorial series “Theatre Memories” (Bulzoni), “Theatrical Studies” (Editoriale Scientifica) and “Crossed destinies” (Edizioni Nuove Catarsi) and member of the editorial team of the magazine “Teatro e Storia” (Edizioni Bulzoni). She is part of the scientific committees of the following magazines and editorial series: “Biblioteca Teatrale” (Bulzoni editore); “CERCARE, prison anagram of” (European magazine/Edizioni Nuove Catarsi); “Theatres of diversity” (European magazine/Edizioni Nuove Catarsi); “Theatre Education. Studies and research on educational theatre” (Edizioni Nuove Catarsi). She is a member of the University Theatre Council, of the National Coordination of Theatre in Prison and of UNIMA Italia (International Marionette Union). Among his main study topics: theatre in prison and in society; the cunto and the puppet theatre; the Neapolitan theatre between the end of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century. She is the author of various publications including monographs, curated articles, essays and encyclopedic entries on the topics of her research.
